Development of a web portal and a mobile app for the waste collection service
The project
Infofactory has developed a web portal and an app for environmental services for Idealservice.
Through these tools, citizens can access all the information on the waste collection service of their own municipality.
The functions of the website are numerous: the ability to click on your own municipality, within an interactive map and discover all the information about the waste recycling service, the waste collection calendar, the waste legend, and a recycling dictionary.
Through the portal, it is also possible to send requests and reports (e.g. abandoned waste), indicating the location on a map and also attaching any photographs.
The portal also includes a reserved area for Idealservice customers, namely the Municipalities, where they can view an updated graphical dashboard with data on the service provided.
The mobile app "Zero Waste", also developed for citizens, aims to facilitate access to all the information on the portal, making it always immediate and at hand.

Calendar
The waste collection schedule is always available and updated, both on the portal and on the mobile app. Citizens can register for the notification service from the app to receive alerts about the collection for the following day.
By clicking on the icon of the collected material, such as organic waste, detailed information about the disposal methods are displayed in the calendar.
Recyclaboratory
The Recyclabulary, available both on the portal and on the mobile app, is an online dictionary for citizens who need to know where to dispose of waste. With this tool, it is possible to search for the waste in question and the system will provide instructions on the correct disposal.
Reserved Area
The portal is not intended only for citizens, but also for Idealservice's clients, namely the Municipalities.
Municipalities can access a reserved area and view a graphical dashboard with data on the service provided by Idealservice.
Among the available data are: the amount of waste collected by type, the reports received, the non-compliances reported by the collection staff, and so on.
