A digital solution for the enhancement of the territory
The project
Infofactory, in collaboration with Intoote, has developed the Discover Alpi Giulie mobile app. The goal of the project is to showcase the territory of the Julian Alps highlighting points of interest located along the route of the Alpe Adria Radweg Cycle Path.
The app features nine sections that encompass a wide range of activities, events, hotel facilities, and restaurants. In total, there are more than 160 points of interest and various useful information.
All content is available in Italian and German, and can also be accessed offline, meaning without the need for an internet connection. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with Tabacco Publishing House, all points of interest are displayed on the Tabacco road map, which can be used directly from the app.

All points are geolocated on a tobacco map, which can be accessed even without a connection.

The app also becomes an assistant for tour operators who can consult it and use it to respond to visitors' needs.

Through a form, anyone can report impediments on the route thus helping to solve the problem.

In this section, all the hotel facilities in the area are grouped together.

In this section, bars, restaurants, farmhouses, and trattorias in the surrounding area are listed.

A constantly updated section on the events in the Giulian Alps region.

This section reports all tourist offices, outpatient clinics, doctor's office, pharmacies, public transportation, bike and car rental, workshops, and sports equipment rental.
